What you can expect from Fg Addo Architects and our Architectural services.
Pre-Planning
We offer advice on the most appropriate planning application based on the following:
- The property type, i.e. terraced, semi-detached, detached, or land.
- The type of extension, alteration or development proposed.
- The end use of the property after implementing the proposals, e.g. to remain as a single-family dwelling, family dwelling divided into flats, or new build flats or house from the ground up.
- The location of the property or land, i.e. in a conservation area or not in a conservation area.
- The classification of the property. i.e. in a listed building or not a listed building.
Planning
We produce the planning application designs and all supporting documentation required to accord with the type of planning application being submitted. We submit the planning application on our client’s behalf and act as the agent during the planning determination period.

Building Control
We produce detailed and technical designs required to satisfy building control regulations.
Interior Design

We bring on board experienced and reliable contractors we have worked with over many years that have a good track record in delivering high-quality developments on time and on budget. We remain on board to guide and support the client during the construction phase.
How We Work
From consultation and proposal to design and construction, we’ll walk you through the complete process.
Consultation
- We meet with the client to view the property or land and discuss their ideas and aspirations for the project in situ.
- We advise on any possible pitfalls and statutory obligations such as the appropriate planning consents, building control requirements and or party wall awards.
- We discuss the client’s anticipated budget for the project.
- We discuss the scope of services the client would wish to appoint Fg Addo Architects for.
Fee Proposal
We put together a fee proposal based on the scope of services the client wishes to appoint Fg Addo Architects for.
Appointment
Upon acceptance of our fee proposal for the desired scope of services, we sign a memorandum of agreement to that effect.
Design and Pricing Stages
- Produce a design programme to itemise all activities leading up to the construction stage.
- Site survey.
- Concept design.
- Production of planning application drawings and documents.
- Submission of the planning application.
- Production of detailed technical drawings for building control.
- Submission of building control application.

Construction and Handover Stages
- We bring on board our trustworthy contractor to enter into a contract with the client.
- We guide and support the client during the construction stage by offering the following services:
- We carry out regular site visits and inspections.
- We ensure the project is proceeding to programme, budget and quality.
- We produce an inspection report for the client after every site visit.
- We authorise payments to the contractor based on progress and fee schedule.
- We collate all warranty documentation for the project.
- We assist the client with good practice advice on “running in” their new home.
