Baker Street, NW1

The building at Baker Street was the former head office for Abbey National Bank.

Planning permission was granted by Westminster Council to part-demolish and build a new residential development consisting of 130 apartments — thus repurposing the use of the site. Being in a conservation area, the council required a high-quality design using honest materials.

Fg Addo Architects were contracted by BUJ Architects to produce the detailed design for this project. This included the stone cladding, building control technical drawings, and internal layouts. In addition to this, we were also tasked with coordinating the mechanical, electrical, and structural services.
