Project Details
The client’s brief was to demolish the garages and erect a 3-storey coach house-style dwelling to be his retirement home. Fg Addo Architects were appointed to design and obtain planning permission for the new coach house.
Key design considerations were:
- The location of the site adjacent to a listed building
- The scale of the development relative to neighbouring buildings
- Ensuring the design was in keeping with the character of the neighbouring buildings
- The quality of materials on the external parts of the building
