The property is a 5-bedroom, 3-storey Edwardian semi-detached house on Malford Grove (E18).

The client’s brief was to construct a rear infill extension and totally refurbish the whole house as it had been “unloved” for many years. Fg Addo Architects were appointed to obtain planning permission for the rear infill extension and design and manage the whole refurbishment, from inception to completion.

The process was to strip the internals back to brick and reconstruct to meet building regulations requirements and also for robustness and durability. The interior design theme was to have an opulent feel combined with the latest gadgets and modern technology.
